Dumbbell flat bench press

The dumbbell flat bench press is performed the same way as the barbell press only with this you will be using dumbbells and also using a wider range of motion. Keep your focus on your form and your muscles involved such as the pectoral and deltoids a long with the triceps.


Here's the proper way to perform this exercise.
1. Lie on you back with your feet flat,but if your more comfortable with your feet on the bench then do so (this also helps to isolate the muscles a bit more and is a good way to reduce tension on your back as well.) Just keep in mind not to arch your back.
2. Grab the dumbbells, for heavier weight it would be a good idea to have someone to spot you with the weight. When lifting keep the range of motion slightly wider apart than shoulder width.
3. Carefully lift the dumbbells.
4. Then slowly lower the dumbbells to the highest point of your chest. Then return the dumbbells to the initial lift point and repeat.
