Machine Shoulder Press

The shoulder press machine is a great exercise to substitute using freeweights for the military press. The machine helps you not only keep concentration on your workout but also you aren't in any danger from the weights causing any injuries.

Here is the proper way to do machine shoulder press:
1. Adjust the seat to your specific height. Then sit on the seat keeping feet shoulder width apart.
2. Now grab the handles slightly wider then shoulder width apart.
3. Slowly begin to push up until your arms are almost completely straight.
4. Now return to a position just short of your starting point to keep the tension on the muscles being worked out. Always keep in mind to keep your back straight, and not to let your elbows snap or lock in the midrange position.
